Shortage of skilled workers? - Lindner thinks ahead. This year the interior fitting specialist has recruited the highest number of apprentices in the company's history.  Since the 1st of September a total of 92 new apprentices are strengthening the ranks in all areas of operation.

“We train young people in 22 different professions, from carpenters, toolmakers and warehouse logistic specialists to electronics engineers, IT specialists and foreign-language speaking industrial managers right down to vocational degree study in Business Management or Industrial Engineering", says Christine Nußbaumer, Head of Trainee and Personnel Development, “and our relatively new involvement in the hotel industry is now complemented by a further hotel & hospitality manager. " The professions of metal worker, industrial machinist and toolmaker benefit from Lindner's commitment to providing first-class training in particular: they can gain first professional experiences in our technical training centre, which was set up especially to give our apprentices the technical foundations right here on the company premises.

10 to 15 new apprentices are hired every year by the supplier of complete solutions to train in the profession of system planner or technical product designer. In the past these professions were lumped together under ‘draftsman’ or ‘tracer’, however, the reorganisation of the job profile from 1st August 2011 is now matching the old training contents to the newly created job profiles.

In its subsidiaries Dettelbach, Frankfurt, Saarbrücken, Holleben, Munich and Recklinghausen Lindner is also welcoming 20 new apprentices in all.

Christine Nußbaumer is happy with this result: “Lindner is investing in new talent from its own ranks – currently a total of 268 apprentices are being trained up in the entire corporate group! The present figures are proof that we offer thorough and respectable training.  An increasing number of young people are seizing the opportunity to receive a sound vocational qualification in a forward-looking company. We wish all our new apprentices a good start and a happy and educational time here at Lindner!“
