Explosion Resistant Wall Linings by Lindner – Simply life-saving

Safety against terrorism is playing an important part at locations where crowds of people come...

This
reduces the risk of injury considerably, because - in case of a booby-trap attack - no splinters or particles can spread from the wall system and hit someone. Normally, these fragments create a danger of injury or death due to the reflected pressure and impulse after the explosion. The characteristic of the Lindner system with high quality glazed or metal panels is that it was the first wall cladding ever tested for these requirements.
A so-called “bomb blast test” was performed by the English examination agency Crossley Consult Ltd. 15kg of the highly explosive TNT was detonated at a distance of six meters away from the specimen. The pulling effect was 30% higher than the compression force from the explosion.
A further optical advantage is that the paneling can be installed vertically and horizontally. Furthermore, the panels can be easily mounted – like all other products of
line of walls made of wood, metal or glass. The substructure as well as the glazing are designed individually for each project. Optimum security is additionally provided due to special safety catches.

The floor system
operates with a low flow temperature and additionally entails energy saving – excellent efficiency for a pleasant living and working environment. The system obviates the heed for radiators and extends the planners’ scope when designing the interior layout for foyers and premium quality office space. The impressively low floor height and the especially light weight characterise the system FLOOR and more® comfort.

Product features:

Heats up and cools down very quickly

Almost any floor covering can be used

Heating capacity 60 - 100 W/sqm and cooling capacity 23 - 45 W/sqm

Eco-friendly; low flow temperature

Lindner FLOOR and more® - Functionality at its best.

All options laid out.

The
panels are manufactured from calcium sulphate at our factory in Dettelbach. Our company uses the very latest production equipment and is one of the world's leading manufacturers of floor systems. A key contributory factor to the quality of dry floors is accuracy in terms of tolerance – achieved by the high technological standards used in production.

Environmentally-friendly quality.

Lindner's excellent quality is not left to chance, but is ensured by a sophisticated quality management system, demonstrated by our certification to ISO 9001:2000. Samples taken during production are tested against a full range of technical parameters such as stability, breaking load, dimensional accuracy, adhesive values, etc. (over 100 criteria in all).
Our labs are equipped with ultra-modern test equipment, and constantly test edge trims, adhesives, zinc layer thickness etc. Independent institutes test all systems to the accepted standards for noise, fire safety and mechanical resistance. Tests meeting European standards and certification for almost all European countries are part of our portfolio.

Pedestals

The substructure is an important component of every system floor. The pedestals create the cavity needed to accommodate the services. Lindner metal pedestals can be adjusted to almost any height, therefore compensating for any unevenness in the subfloor. From design to manufacture, including the galvanisation – we produce our pedestal range entirely in-house.
We manufacture highly accurate pedestals for hollow floors. Our many years of experience ensure high load-bearing capacity and excellent durability for all our products. Lindner systems can be combined with one another in many ways, and supplemented with different reinforcement profiles.

Scope of works

Facade types and scope

4,800 m² bespoke Lindner facade, surface powder coated

900 individual facade elements including sunblinds

Rain screens

Ceiling area

Maximum sound insulation performance of R‘w = 46 dB

Overall facade U-value (Ucw) of 1.0 W/m²K

180 kg vent-opening elements with non-visible hinges

Technical details

In order to provide sufficient stability against the vibrations caused by passing trains, the sunblinds were innovatively integrated into the facade profile. As cleaning from the outside adjacent to the railway is not permitted, every element is openable for cleaning purposes, with the hinges being cleverly hidden in the element. As well as the standard facade bracket, customized brackets were also designed to avoid clashing with the building‘s columns.

Installation

The panels at the ends of the building are fully glazed black enameled panels. Installation of elements started in January 2012 and was completed in April 2012, with work continuing uninterrupted during the coldest months in temperatures below -10°C.

Lindner Life 622 makes it easier for architects and planners to create open, welcoming room...

At the same time, the system is very easy to maintain. Thanks to the one-piece ceiling profiles and given the fact that the multi-component floor profiles and vertical profiles are attached by means of clips, it is as easy as never before to replace or remove one or more of the panes. Metal or wooden cladding satisfies every client’s needs and makes even the most progressive designs a reality.
Lindner Life 622 restores the silence in your offices or conference/training rooms by reducing sound 48 dB (Rw, tested to DIN EN ISO 140-03). It is perfectly suited for the integration of electric blinds or other technical equipment.

Girls 'Day and Boys' Day

They give them the opportunity to meet important persons from business or politics or introduce them to vocational trainings and study courses only few women or men decide to enter.

Lindner Group, Arnstorf

Ten young women from nearby schools accepted Lindner’s invitation to take part at the 3rd Girls’ Day at the Company’s headquarters in Arnstorf. To start off, Michaela Heiß, Industrial Training Manager at Lindner, informed the excited pupils about the Company and the trainings that Lindner offers.
After a guided tour through the factory, Georg Holzleitner, Head of the Technical Training Centre, took the girls and their designated “mentors” to the TTC where the mentors explained the girls how to work with the different tools and assisted them in trying their hand at welding, sculpting a pterosaur (garden art) and crafting a sheet metal box and a tape dispenser.

Lindner Group, Dettelbach

It was the 3rd time that the Lindner Group in Dettelbach organised a open day for girls – the Girls’ Day –, but this year we reoriented ourselves and initiated the first Boys’ Day in Dettelbach. The young men interested in taking part could register for the event using the Boys’ Day online portal.
The Company wanted to demonstrate some typical assignments within an industrial enterprise and to give the pupils a better understanding (in theory and in practice) of what it is like to train to become an Industrial/European Clerk in Dettelbach.
Ralph Peckmann began the day with a company presentation and Stefanie Menig and Anna Sättler continued with a workshop on the two occupations, where they could listen and respond to each of the young men.
At lunch, the participants talked about what they learned that day and took off on a guided tour through the factory.
Next were two practical sessions where the boys got a taste of what it is like to work in the following departments: Purchasing, Shipping, Production Planning and Customer Advisory Service as well as the office of the managing director and the product delivery of floor systems. The input phases alternated with little exercises that gave the youths the opportunity to experience the daily routine in the Company.
At the end of the day, the participants talked about their impressions and gave feedback as to whether or not the day lived up to their expectations and Stefanie Menig presented the boys with a small going-away gift.

The Company was mainly responsible for the acoustic fit-out of the theatre. Golden, metal-coated balcony fronts and the acacia surface of the floor, the ceiling and the walls are the highlights of the main hall. Especially versatile Lindner NORIT-Industrial Boards form the U-shaped balcony fronts.
The acoustically decoupled
floor, specially developed for theatres, proved once again to be an extraordinarily adaptable system.
Lindner manufactured, delivered and mounted the tailor-made ceiling and wall cladding of the ‘Great Orchestra Hall' whose orchestra is named after the Austrian composer Anton Bruckner. Every single acoustic panel has a special golden metal coating with a custom relief.
In addition to fitting out the main areas, the Lindner Group was also commissioned to adapt the numerous backstage practice rooms to suit the acoustic requirements of the theatre.
The acoustic fit-out of the Musiktheater Linz epitomizes Lindner Group’s motto “all from one source”.

Scandic Berlin Potsdamer Platz

The Scandic Hotel is situated on the Gabriele-Tergit-Promenade, south of the Tilla-Durieux-Park....

On this property, next to the subway station Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Park, the investor built the 9-storey, more than 30,000 m² large hotel right on top of the U2 subway line.

A Scandinavian Oasis in Berlin. The Scandic Spirit.

Transferring the operator’s corporate identity to the hotel’s interior, where it can be fully experienced by the guests, is vital for any hotel project. Thus, this progressive hotel chain deploys innovative thinking to differentiate itself from the majority of competitors. Scandic totally admits itself to its Nordic origin with this „Scandinavian Oasis“ in Berlin. The self-commitment to environmental compatibility derives from the Swedes’ tradition and their love of nature.
The visitor finds himself amidst the Scandinavian nature. Bright colours and clean shapes represent winterly mountain sceneries and form a contrast to the harmonious design in the warmer areas: there, guests can relax in lush green summer colours or autumnal warm, earthy tones. This rhythm of the seasons runs through the decoration of the rooms and generates an impressive flair.
The mere size of the Scandic Berlin requires for consistent standardisation on the inside and the outside. At the same time, and in contrast to public building projects, the marketing potential of the hotel has to be considered at all times. The fit-out and the selection of the furniture are very important aspects in this regard. From the guest rooms’ interior to the equipment of the public areas, the quality of the implementation has to reflect the operator’s brand identity and design level.
The Scandic Berlin has a total of 563 rooms, of which 60 are barrier-free, 128 Superior Rooms, 10 Junior Suites and 1 Executive Suite. The divisible ballroom with its large roof terrace, 20 conference rooms, a restaurant, the lobby and a bar make the hotel appealing to both leisure and business visitors.

Architecture and design – with good conscience.

As the user of this building, Scandic underlines the claim of being the industry’s leader in sustainability. The environmental quality of this construction is not limited to the use of ecologically friendly materials.
The influence of Scandic’s socio-cultural competence has been just as important to the whole concept: thoughtful solutions for visitors suffering from allergy, for wheelchair users or people with other special needs have been integrated in 60 rooms and in all public areas to provide for a pleasant stay. Families with children are warmly welcomed at the Scandic Berlin with offers like diaper changing tables, a games room and the children‘s menu at the restaurant. Parents who are accompanied by their teenage children can book separate young person’s rooms at special rates.

Everything from one source. Lindner Hotels and Resorts.

For decades investors, operators and their architects have been trusting Lindner with the translation of their ambitious plans into practice. All these projects have one thing in common: each one has been unique.
Upon the client’s request, the formation of a project consortium with two building shell constructors was the starting point for eventually carrying out the interior fitout. The early involvement of Lindner in the overall project successfully avoided interface problems during the construction phase and later in the installation of the FF & E for the public areas as well as for the guest areas.
Works carried out (excerpt):

Detailed planning and project management

Suspended ceilings

Dry walls and wall cladding

Wooden doors and tubular frame doors

Floor systems

Insulation

Painting

Fitting and metal works

All furniture and fixtures for the guest rooms and public areas

Loose furnishings such as curtains, lamps, mirrors, pillows, living plant walls

Turning visions into reality – as partner of the investor.

The Scandic Berlin Potsdamer Platz is characteristic for the demands of an investor involved in the international hotel industry. For setting up the Scandic Berlin, they chose to award the task to a strong, financially stable partner with many years of experience in undertaking large-scale projects. Because of the complexity of this high standard building, the investor aimed for bundling the finishing works with one single partner, resulting in less time for completion, close adherence to tight schedules while achieving highest quality of workmanship.
He was taking it for granted that this partner would speak the language of his architects and turn the ideas of the operator’s designer into hotel reality.
In opting for Lindner the investor made use of the Company’s project experience, comprehensive capacities for research and development as well as expertise in quality, from as early as tender phase through to project completion. The result: effective processes for an economically advantageous project management.

A result we are happy to share.

When buildings are financed by investors, architects and designers face the important responsibility to decorate them appropriate for their intended use and to furnish them with a most unique character. At the Scandic Berlin Lindner was granted the opportunity to turn these ideas into custom-built reality. We could draw on our extensive experience with regard to engineering, material, safety standards and economic efficiency in interior fit-out. In this way, for instance, the novel Lindner real wood veneered panels with tested A2 fire resistance classification were used for wall cladding in the guest corridors and for the lining of the ballroom.
Lindner started the interior work in June 2009. On the day of its scheduled opening on 1 October 2010 the hotel was already fully booked ... serving happy guests. Lindner has been building superior hotels for over two decades – from the refined shell construction to the opening. At the Scandic Berlin we conducted the entire performance chain and proved again: Lindner stands for large and even larger complete solutions, extensive experience in construction and furnishings, economic strength as well as a competitive priceperformance ratio.
