Plafotherm® heated/chilled ceilings for the skyscrapers of the future
For some time now, the Lindner Group has also been designing innovative heating and cooling systems for the Asian market. Following the expansion of the Lujiazui Financial Building in Shanghai, using over 30,000 m² of eco-friendly Plafotherm® metal ceilings, Lindner is now involved in the construction of the world's first eco-neutral skyscraper, the 71-storey "Pearl River Tower" in Guangzhou.
Plafotherm® heating and cooling technologies ensure that the building maintains an optimal climate with relatively low energy usage – and no noise or draughts. The system is integrated invisibly into the suspended metal ceiling units. Since water – not air – is used as the transport medium, supply lines are smaller than with air-conditioning systems or conventional ventilation systems, thus lowering investment costs for the client.
Lindner heated/chilled ceilings place no restrictions on the requirements of client or architect: with a single source for planning, design, manufacture and assembly, Lindner is always able to realize custom-built special heating or chilling systems – such as for the new major "Pearl River Tower" project, for example.
For this building, a specially curved metal chilled ceiling system will be installed, with a suspended lighting grid – thereby combining both indirect lighting and energy-efficient removal of the tower's heat load into a single system. In this project, Lindner will also use infrared thermographic imaging to ensure that all of the building's climate systems function efficiently.
Lindner is very proud to have been chosen to install a total of 75,000 m² of ceiling panels for this exceptionally demanding and futuristic project.
