Simon Glashauser - Germany’s best drywall construction apprentice
The Lindner Group can be proud of its apprentice, Simon Glashauser. The 20-year-old has completed his three-year drywall construction training with flying colours. As the best in his profession in the whole of Germany, he was commended on his exceptional achievement by the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce in Berlin. From a total of 227 of Germany’s best, Simon Glashauser was honoured alongside six others from Lower Bavaria. In particular, IHK (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) President, Dr. Josef Dachs, is pleased with the impressive result achieved by the students from Lower Bavaria and Hans Heinrich Driftmann, President of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce, emphasised in his opening speech: “You are Germany’s best apprentices in your profession, out of a total of 300,000 people who participated in the final exams. You now have the best chances of a successful start to your professional life.” However, the parents, training companies and vocational training colleges were also thanked for their contribution to the apprentices’ exceptional achievements.

The best drywall construction apprentice, Simon Glashauser, has found his dream job at Lindner in Arnstorf. “I’ve never really learned a lot, but instead I’m simply interested in my job, have always paid close attention, taken things on board or even just had a go myself,” he said to explain his outstanding achievement. Even early on when he assisted on construction sites, he was able to demonstrate his flair for manual work and quickly gain an insight into his duties. Above all, he always gains the most pleasure from his job when collaborating with colleagues on construction sites.

Simon Glashauser has a great deal planned for the future, too: “I definitely want to continue learning so I can build on these good foundations.” He’d like to begin by aiming to become a Head Fitter. Later on, he hopes to undergo further training to become a technician.

“For the Lindner Group, it is a great pleasure to be the company that trained Germany’s best drywall constructor and we will continue to support him wherever possible in the future,” explains Christine Nußbaumer, Head of Training at the Lindner Group.
