Arbeitsgemeinschaft Industriebau e. V. meets in Mariakirchen
From 22 to 23 June 2017, the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Industriebau e.V. (AGI; a consortium of industrial producers in the construction sector) invited its members from the regional association South Germany to the Hofwirt Mariakirchen, with Lindner Group as their host. The Hofwirt´s rustic ambience with traditional Bavarian cuisine contrasted with future-oriented topics such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Cradle to Cradle in construction that filled this event´s daily schedule.
The AGI gathers German companies, producers for the construction sector, planning offices and schools of higher education, giving them a common and independent platform for exchanging news about current developments in industrial and commercial construction as well as facility management. The AGI is divided in multiple working groups and location-dependent regional associations. The regional association South Germany holds meetings twice a year, the hosts being various members. These meetings not only serve networking purposes, but also provide the framework for exchanging experiences and examples from construction practice for discussion and questioning. Lindner Group was the distinguished host for this latest event, which chose the new conference facilities in the Hofwirt Mariakrichen, close to the company´s headquarters in Arnstorf, as the venue. The evening before the event was used for a get-together between the 30 participants in the beergarden of the Schlossbräu Mariakirchen. Head of Main Branch Josef Albrecht used this opportunity to personally welcome the guests and provide an overview of developments at Lindner Group. By providing a brief introduction and an overview of current topics at the AGI, Jan Schneider of Robert Bosch GmbH and Peter Lindner, General Manager of AGI, initiated the main part of this event. Together with Valentin Brenner of Drees & Sommer, two Lindner employees, green building specialist Elisabeth Wagner and Angela Schaller, product manager for ceiling systems, presented the topic "Cradle to Cradle" from the perspective of a project controller and product manufacturer. Questions and suggestions on this concept of viewing (construction) products in a closed technical cycle could be brought up afterwards.
After some reinforcement with a veal sausage snack, the workshop continued with the topic "Quo Vadis BIM", featuring impulse presentations of Matthias Jakisch, Application Counselor for BIM at Lindner Group, and Erhard Stäblein of the architectural office Gruoner & Partner. Afterwards, all particiants took a tour of Lindner Group´s production facilities with in-depth views of the company´s portfolio in interior fit-out, facade building and insulation technology. This concluded the framework programme with some closing words by Jan Schneider, representing the AGI and Lindner Group.
