Back from Fort Lauderdale: Lindner Cruise Liner and Ship Fit-out successful in new waters at the Seatrade Cruise Global
Audience show high interest in Lindner Maritime product range at the cruise industry's meeting. The maiden voyage of Lindner Cruise Liner and Ship Fit-out from March 14th to 17th to the Seatrade Cruise Global was a full success.
For the first time Lindner Objektdesign GmbH, a Lindner Group subsidiary, presented their comprehensive range of products and services for the fit-out of cruise liners at the exhibition in front of a motley crowd of representatives from shipping companies and builders, suppliers, operators, destinations and cruise industry associations. Located in Fort Lauderdale, just a stone's throw away from cruise mecca Miami, the event offered a diversified exhibition and conference programme comprising guided tours, presentations and speeches and soirees. Given full order books throughout the industry, exhibitors and delegates alike appeared at their best.
Lindner presented their complete range of products for Cruise Liner and Ship Fit-out, called Lindner Maritime, and received excellent response from visitors to the company’s booth. Among these products are metal ceiling systems from Lindner’s own design and production facilities, which are highly adaptable to the different areas and specific requirements regarding functionality and appearance. IMO-tested fireproof ceilings B15-A30 and B0-A15, for instance, combine enhanced safety with elaborate design for a quick initial installation and excellent accessibility afterwards. COMP+ products, applicable as ceiling and wall cladding, with an aluminium honeycomb core and micro-perforated surface incorporate both slim lightweight structures and effective acoustic regulation.
The portfolio of Lindner Objektdesign GmbH enables the company to serve as a partner for shipyards and shipping companies, such as AIDA, Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean, for the complete interior fit-out of public areas on cruise ships. Most products are also available for other executing companies of the ship fit-out industry. Lindner Cruise Liner and Ship Fit-out has been involved in many ships of the AIDA Sphinx, Solstice and Quantum classes, implementing restaurants, bars and even an atrium. On board several Disney Cruise Line ships, Lindner has carried out fireproof corridor ceilings. Furthermore, now under development is the first complete fit-out of a theatre hall for Dream Cruises.
The exhibition booth itself was a highlight as well: only 12 sqm large, with its tapered walls it still created the illusion of a walkable public ship area, in particular the Grand Foyer from Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas. It was specially designed for the exhibition in order to give a more detailed idea of Lindner’s fit-out capabilities. Considering feedback received from visitors both at the Seatrade Cruise Global and afterwards, the three-man exhibition crew have accomplished this goal.
