The annual Mosque Design & Development Summit in Dubai is a major event for the construction supply industry in the sector of religious and cultural prestigious projects. Various branches of the Lindner Group joined forces for this venue to expand the network and promote their services for a continuation of growth after having successfully realised the first projects in this sector.
The number of mosques in Dubai is expected to grow, with 61 new mosques currently under construction in just two neighborhood of Dubai. According to the Dubai Statistic Centre (DSC), the number of mosques located in Dubai in 2015 showed a 20 % increase from 2014. A trend that seems to continue into the future and can also be recognised on an even more global scale.
The 2nd annual Mosque Design and Development summit gathered the public and private sector under the patronage of the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department and supported by the Ministry of Energy to discuss the latest innovations and best practices for the planning, design, construction, operations and maintenance of each mosque to meet the required green standards during its complete life cycle.
Andreas Huber and Armin Kainz addressed these topics by presenting the innovative solutions provided by Lindner during their presentations at the conference. By showcasing the experiences gathered with the interior fit-out of a major mosque development in Saudi Arabia as well as presenting new ways of facade design with UHPC (ultra-high performance concrete), the Lindner Group received excellent feedback from project owners, architects, contractors, designers and further key industry stakeholders attending the summit.
To sum up, the Lindner Group is satisfied with this year’s Mosque Summit in Dubai. The participants were left with very positive impressions, as they exchanged thoughts with technical peers and established valuable contacts.
