From the 8th to the 10th of March, the architecture festival Turn On will take place in Vienna's ORF RadioKulturhaus. Architects and building contractors such as the Lindner GmbH Baden, present together current projects, this time extended with lectures by representatives of the public sector. International contributions come from Barcelona, Brussels and Ghent this year.

For the 16th time, the Austrian Foundation of Architecture and Turn On organizer Birgit Ulama invite to Vienna for the renowned architecture festival. Turn On offers a unique cross-section of the current architectural scene and building culture in Austria and the host countries. Corresponding to the complexity, several main topics will be highlighted, among other things public space, urban planning and project development. Appropriately, this year's Turn On Talk is titled “Strategies for and Visions of Urban Planning.”

As part of the dialogue lectures, the architects Jan Horst from Atelier d'architecture Chaix & Morel et associés, Paris and Christian Pichler from Christian Anton Pichler ZT GmbH, Vienna, together with the managing director of Lindner GmbH, Harald Mezler-Andelberg present two urban development projects: The revitalization project Lände 3 at the former Siemens factory premises in Vienna´s 3rd district and the Viertel Zwei Plus two in Vienna-Krieau. The new ensemble of buildings with residential and office properties directly at the trotting course Krieau is an extension of the Viertel Zwei, which was completed in 2010. The focus here is on the interaction of efficient building measures and sufficient free space in public areas to a balanced room ambience and more quality of life. As general contractor for all interior work, Lindner GmbH, the Austrian subsidiary of the Lindner Group, played a major role in both projects both as an executing partner and with the extensive Lindner product range of floor, ceiling and wall systems as well as with the excellent carpentry work.
