The pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim moved into a new administration headquarters this year: Completed in December 2020, the building includes spacious open office areas and thus plenty of room for concentration, creativity and communication.

New Standards for the Pharmaceutical Industry

Boehringer Ingelheim is one of the 20 leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide and unites sustainability, innovation and diversity in its corporate philosophy. The company strives for progress – and wanted this to be visible in its administrative headquarters: Therefore, "Setting New Standards" was the principle for the interior design. With open room design and modern furnishings, the new working worlds now offer enough space for several hundred employees.

Partner for Agile Working Environments

Lindner was involved in the project with a comprehensive interior fit-out package: Based on an open-space concept by congena, modern and open office spaces were created. Thus, communication, creativity and productivity are promoted – following the principle of "New Work". During the implementation, Lindner convinced with quality and expertise, so that the contract was supplemented with an agreement for the interior fit-out.

Discretion Despite Openness and Transparency

For separating the open office areas, Lindner solid and glass partition wall systems were installed. Together with around 700 wall absorbers, those improve room acoustics significantly. As important as the right level of sound absorption is a pleasant room temperature: Lindner heated and chilled ceilings provide efficient heating or cooling of the rooms. The interior fittings are complemented by the CAVOPEX hollow floor system and various glass and wooden doors. All the products used meet the strict requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, especially with regard to fire and sound protection.
