From 5th to 8th March 2018 one of the most important international exhibitions for ship cruise business took place: the “Seatrade Cruise Global 2018” in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. In addition to ship outfitters, material suppliers, shipyards, ports and other ship business areas, the Lindner Group was once again on-site as a specialist in the interior fit-out of cruise liners.
Numerous visitors, including architects, shipping companies, ship owners, shipyards and interior designers, romped around this year's Seatrade inform themselves about ship cruise travel. The Lindner Group was located at the German Pavilion. Because of the current AIDA ship fitting-out project, its exhibition stand was designed in a traditional way in the style of a Bräustüberl (traditional Bavarian pub). 450 litres of Schlossbräu beer, the tasty Bavarian original from Mariakirchen, were provided for all visitors of the entire pavilion. Background of this striking appearance is a contract from the Meyer shipyard: The new mega liner AIDAnova, which is set to sail at the end of 2018. Lindner is entrusted with the interior fit-out of two restaurants and also a ship-owned brewery with full equipment and a beer garden. The furniture was specially designed for the brewery concept and found its first use at the exhibition. The cozy beer garden atmosphere invited to linger and the fresh drafted beer and Weißwürste made it easy to get into conversation quickly. The great result: many valuable international contacts.
However, potential customers were particularly interested in the versatile COMP+ lightweight panels with aluminum honeycomb core for ceiling and wall cladding. The team of the the business unit Objektdesign will be represented again in 2019 - thereupon in the new exhibition center in Miami.
