Lindner Welsy S.p.r.l. among the winners
Every two years, drywall and plastering companies compete in their skills and innovative spirit in the framework of the Saint-Gobain Gypsum International. This unique event of the gypsum industry took place this time in Lisbon on March 23rd, 2018.
Lindner WELSY S.p.r.l. is a subsidiary of the Lindner Group based in Belgium. The company developed out of a construction company founded in 1966. The specialist for interior fit-out solutions was awarded the Gyproc Belgium 2017 National Trophy in the non-residential building category. The magnificent appearance of the submitted project “Havenhuis” in Antwerp was designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid. A steel structure was built on an existing harbor building, with complex interior walls that are built entirely of gypsum plaster and are highly resistant to noise and fire.
This national award allowed admission to the International Trophy, where only new projects can be submitted that haven’t previously participated in any other international competition. The aim of the event is to present modern products and systems made of plasterboard, which meet the requirements of sustainable, safe and high-quality interior fit-out. A jury evaluates the technical capabilities as well as the overall performance of the systems and solutions of the respective projects. 35 countries fought for the popular awards in six categories. Lindner Welsy was able to assert itself among a total of 87 participating projects and achieved the second place in the category “non-residential buildings” with its office building “Havenhuis”.
