Metal or Concrete – Light as a balloon?

The surface COMPart which was presented for the lightweight product line COMP+ of Lindner surprises thanks to its innovative surface design at the competition of materialPREIS 2018. It was honoured with the third place as public’s favourite.

A total of 118 submissions and over 4.000 online votes of the professional audience witness the growing interest and the outstanding diversity of materials that were presented at this year’s materialPREIS 2018.

The organizers, who are the creators of raumPROBE, chose a very venerable context to celebrate the award show on 5 June 2018: Bertha-Benz-hall in the Design Center Baden-Würtemberg which is located in the house of science in Stuttgart. During a festive ceremony, 31 “special materials” out of 118 submissions were honoured with the materialPREIS 2018. Almost 200 guest acclaimed the winners in eight categories: design, innovation, collection, ecology, study and procedure. New categories were “classics” and “public’s favourite”. The professional audience had the chance to personally vote online until 15 May 2018.

This year, material manufacturers, developers and creative minds were available for selection with their latest materials and innovations.

Among them Lindner Group with the surface COMPart.
The new design possibilities for the Lindner product line COMP+ expand the possible scope for customized ceiling and wall designs. The combination of technical requirements like

  • high stability
  • lightness (5.5 kg/m²)
  • building material class

with authentic surface techniques generate an ambitious and manual original. Additionally, COMP+ convinces with a high level of prefabrication and very short execution times.

COMPart is available with the materials concrete, rust or genuine metal and can be offered with different gloss levels and colour shades. Thanks to the interaction of material, colour, haptics and structure that is combined with many years of experience and finesse, special surfaces can be created.
