The Europa-Center Essen is already the seventh Europa Center that has been designed and implemented by the Europa-Center AG, an owner-managed real estate group headquartered in Hamburg. Adjacent to the city center, office and hotel space was built on a total area of around 14,500 m².

The city of Essen is particularly benefiting from the concentration effects in the Ruhr area and is growing - and with it the demand for representative office space. The S-shaped new building complex on Kruppstraße, which can be reached from the train station and the city center within a few minutes, impresses with its extraordinary façade. The hallmark of the Europa Center, visible from afar, is the red border of the windows on each corner of the building over two floors.

In the interiors, freestanding metal canopy ceilings ensure pleasant acoustics thanks to their high sound absorption, optimizing the noise level in the rooms. Thanks to their flexible arrangement, the canopies allow a great deal of freedom in the design: Arranged as individual modules in the office rooms, they provide a view of the raw ceiling. The lighting was integrated directly into them. The perforated ceilings additionally installed in the rooms contribute to a pleasant room climate during all four seasons by means of a natural heat and cold exchange. Wooden doors with wood from sustainable timber industry fit harmoniously into the interior design. In addition to the ceilings, they perform an important fire protection function by preventing the spread of smoke. The entirety of the sustainable building concept led to a DGNB certification in gold.

The Europa-Center AG entrusted Lindner with the interior fit-out. In the period from September 2016 to 2018, the North.Northwest Germany division was responsible for all drywall work, the execution of the ceiling panels and corridor ceilings as well as the installation of wooden and smoke protection doors.
