In the north of Zurich, on the connecting axis between the city center and the airport, lies the Ambassador House which was built from 1985 to 1989. After the modernization of the building, Sunrise Communications AG now occupies about one third of the complex. Switzerland's largest private telecommunications provider is thus optimally combining its two Zurich locations. The 1,400 Sunrise employees now work on around 17,000 m² of office and storage space. In addition to integrated conference rooms and co-working spaces, a fitness area and a day-care center, a café and a restaurant make for a pleasant working environment. With the modern and inspiring workplace design, the Ambassador House offers a high quality infrastructure and high quality workspace for all tenants. It meets the highest ecological as well as economic and social requirements and is LEED Platinum certified.
In the course of the fit-out work, Lindner provided around 1,400 m² of glass partition walls of the Lindner Life 137 type including Lindner GTB 100 and GTB 56 door elements for spatial separation in the office areas of Sunrise. The partitioning systems were placed on a bulkhead of nested steel U-profiles required for sound insulation. The on-site cable routing is within this bottom bulkheads. With the flush bonded glazing, the partition brings transparency and space into the office space.
