Description

Project: Concert Room of the WCCB
Description:

The World Conference Center Bonn is situated in the former Government Quarter. The centre was built around the former plenary hall, which is now also available for conferences and exhibitions. In total, Bonn´s congress centre offers space for up to 7,000 persons. New York Hall is the largest hall in the new Main Building. Measuring 2,550 square metres, it can seat up to 2,820 people. The Hall was additionally fitted with a mobile concert room to house the Beethoven Orchestra of Bonn.

Lindner Objektdesign was responsible for the construction of the mobile concert room, which consists of special mobile acoustic walls and suspended canopy ceilings. It can be set up in three different sizes thanks to its modular structure. In its largest variety, the construction is has the following dimensions: 25m x 14m x 11m (WxHxD). The room can be set up in less than a day. All in all, the concert room combines the requirements of a lightweight construction, which allow easy handling, with the high demands on room acoustics.

Concert Rooms are used both on stages and in (conference) halls in order to be able to play classical concerts.
