The remarkable new contruction "Skykey" is one of numerous project developments in up-and-coming northern Zurich. The 18-storey main building serves a major swiss insurance company as headquarters for its home market and as a base for a workforce of 2,400 employees.
Lindner contributed strongly to the interior fit-out of the building. With Lindner Objektdesign GmbH and Lindner´s Swiss branch office two divisions of Lindner Group were involved in this project. A total of 6,000 sqm of glass partition systems type Lindner Life Pure 620 were installed and now offer efficient partition of the open-plan office areas, especially in combination with Lindner glass doors. While most meeting rooms are separated completely from the office areas, individual offices are partially open to improve internal communication. Usually, the level of noise protection would be reduced significantly due to this interior design. In order to meet the project´s sophisticated room acoustics demands despite this challenging room layout, Lindner developed an all-new acoustics absorbing panel. These panels can be mounted and dismounted from Lindner glass partitions at any time, ensuring maximum flexibility for any redesign of the interior concept. About 5,000 sqm of this novelty were fitted to this project. Apart from glass partitions and their accessories, Lindner also installed 6,500 sqm of wall cladding at the building´s four cores. There are a total of 480 revision doors and other individualisations included in the cladding panels of type COMPwood acoustic. The client chose Fineline oak veneer for these panels due to their universal appearance. All performances were handed over to the customers utmost satisfaction after a construction time of a mere five months.
