The sports equipment manufacturer adidas, founded by Adi Dassler, is expanding the "World of Sports" site in Herzogenaurach with the Arena building. Next to the "Laces" building completed in 2011 with the participation of Lindner and other factory buildings, there are also various sports fields, such as small football stadium, beach volleyball, tennis or basketball courts. The new building in Herzogenaurach was built visually in the Arena style and offers the company over 52,000 square meters and more than 2,000 workplaces, which were realized in a modern concept. The offices consist of both open office space and retreats for concentrated work and meetings. The office building will be inaugurated in time for the 70th anniversary of adidas in August 2019.
Lindner contributed to the adidas World of Sports with hollow and raised floor systems. The office areas were extensively equipped with the raised floor system NORTEC, whereby the project made special demands. Due to the high density of technical installations in the floor cavity, it was necessary to achieve a floor height of 600 to 1,400 mm. Due to the installation density also about 10,000 bridgings between the individual floor slabs had to be created. By choosing Lindner floor systems, it was possible to hide most of the building services in this way. At the same time, the solution is particularly favourable for maintenance works because individual floor slabs can be removed at any point and thus the cavity can be accessed. With accessories such as electrons, the user friendliness is additionally increased. The raised floors in the office environments and the hollow floors in the conference area were visually rounded off by on-site carpeting or parquet flooring.
