The Beta 2 Bilbao as Fabrik is a former industrial building that was renovated and expanded over a period of years as part of an EU project. The goal was to make the abandoned building fit for the future and thus prepare the Spanish city of Bilbao for Industry 4.0: Today, the Beta 2 Bilbao as Fabrik is an agile educational centre where start-ups can network, specialists are trained and new industrial models are promoted. A light-flooded atrium embodies openness to new ideas and innovations. Despite its modern appearance, the building was to retain its industrial character – both inside and outside: Striking slatted façades and rooms with glass and wooden elements connect the past with the future.

In cooperation with its long-standing partner Suria Suelos Técnicos S.L., the Lindner Group added significant value to the Beta 2 Bilbao as factory. Lindner supplied the NORTEC raised floor and the FLOOR and more® hollow floor to the Spanish interior fit-out dealer, who then installed them in the project. The two systems provide a reliable and visually convincing substrate – the perfect basis for inspiring and future-oriented spaces.
