Description

Project: Extension building of the Sprengel Museum
Description:

The new extension building of the Sprengel Museum in Hannover gives one of the most important collections of modern art in Germany an appropriate home. With an offset arrangement of the floor layouts in combination with varying space dimensions and ceiling heights, the rooms appear to be "dancing". Thanks to large-scale luminous ceilings, the exhibits appear in diffused daylight. Automatically controlled artificial light above the ceilings provides an even light level all day long.

As a part of this project, Lindner was contracted with the fitting of the luminous ceilings in the exhibition areas. The commission included the construction of framework structures and substructures, followed by the installation of ceiling panels.
