General Information

How can I apply?

You may apply with our online application form, via email, or by post. For email applications, please contact a member of HR for using encryption.

How can I make sure that my application is relevant to Lindner?

Try to fulfil at least two thirds of the requirements described in the job posting. If you are unsure about any details, send your query to the staff member named in the job posting.

What kind of documents are required for my application?

The following documents are required:

  • Motivational letter
  • CV
  • Professional headshot
  • Copies of certifications and reports (if applicable)

What is the maximum file size that I can send?

Scans and documents may not be larger than 5MB. Please only use .jpg or .pdf files.

Who is my contact person for my application?

Your contact person should be indicated on the job posting. If no name is specified, you may address your motivational letter “To Whom It May Concern”.

Where can I find vacant job positions?

You will find all of our open job positions on our job market.

How often are your job postings updated?

Our open job positions are updated on a daily basis. We will only remove a vacany from our homepage once we have filled it.

Apprenticeship

What is the deadline for apprenticeship applications?

The deadline is 30th September for apprenticeships taking place the following year. So, if you wished to begin an apprenticeship in 2019, you would have until 30th September 2018 to apply.

What is the earliest that I can apply?

We advertise our apprenticeships in July, and you can apply directly after we have announced them. You can find these advertisements on our homepage, regional newspapers, and on numerous online job agencies.

We will only accept applications together with receipt of an annual school grade report before the apprenticeship starts. For example, for an apprenticeship beginning in 2019, we would need your school report from 2018.

Should I apply online or by post?

We would be glad to receive your application, either online or by post! Paper and electronic applications are checked and considered with the same diligence.

Should I bring my parents to the interview?

Our apprenticeship interviews are conducted with the applicant alone. Your parents are welcome to accompany you to meet us, but they should not be with you during the interview itself.

Can I apply for more than one apprenticeship?

You may apply for up to two Lindner apprenticeships (exceptions apply).* If you wish to apply for two apprenticeships, please send us an individual application for each. 

*No separate applications need to be made for very similar apprenticeships, such as industrial management assistant and foreign language industrial management assistant. For such apprenticeships, a simple reference in your application is sufficient.

I am a woman. Do I stand a chance in getting a technical apprenticeship?

Yes, of course! We are an equal opportunities employer.

Do skilled trades have a future at Lindner Group?

We trust in our young talent, especially in the technical division. This means we educate our craftsmen so that they can be effectively deployed after their apprenticeships – as craftspeople, team leaders, shift supervisors, and much more.

Drywall fitters are instructed by on-site construction managers as to how they can handle construction sites after an appropriate time of on-boarding. As a next step, they may undertake advanced training as a woodwork or metal technician. After passing the technician exam, they will have the opportunity to start as a project manager or office worker. Therefore, there is an excellent chance that you will have a good and secure job at Lindner following an apprenticeship in the technical division.

Do I have to complete an internship at Lindner Group to be considered for an apprenticeship?

Don’t worry, completion of an internship with Lindner is not a requirement for our apprenticeship programme. It would not even be possible for us to offer as many preliminary internships.

Will Lindner Group employ me after my apprenticeship?

The chances are high! We deploy 90 % of our apprentices to jobs within the company. Those who show dedication and commitment to their apprenticeship work and training are likely to secure long-term positions at Lindner. 

Graduates

What kind of entry level options are there at Lindner?

Graduates can join Lindner in any of our departments or divisions, from sales, product management, and research and development, to procurement, and human resources. The individual positions there depend on possible vacancies and, of course, your qualifications and experience. 

Which international locations are available to me?

Graduates can send speculative applications to any of our worldwide locations. If there are specific job postings on our homepage, we highly recommend applying for them, to increase the likelihood of success. 

Do you have a trainee programme?

We offer trainee programmes quite regularly but not every year. Please visit the relevant job postings on our job market.

How can I apply for a trainee programme?

If a trainee programme is advertised on our job board, you can apply online in the same way as any of our open job positions.

What happens after I have successfully graduated from the trainee programme?

99.9 % of our trainees are offered employment with Lindner after successfully finishing the programme. Many previous trainees go on to become junior managers in their relevant field of work.

Speculative Application

Is it worth writing speculative applications?

A speculative application is always appreciated when you cannot find a suitable position on our job board. We will then match your profile with upcoming vacancies.

What is the process when making a speculative application?

As soon as we receive your documents, you will be sent a confirmation email. We will then check to see if we have a potential job fit for you, concerning your qualifications and competencies. Do note that this will take some time, so please refrain from sending followup emails – we will contact you if we find a fit.

Application Procedure

Will I receive a confirmation of receipt?

Once we have received your application, you will be sent a confirmation via email. 

How does the selection process work?

The relevant department will read through all applications and is responsible for inviting an application to interview. Interviews are conducted by representatives of the relevant department and HR. After the interview, a decision will be made as to the most appropriate candidate for the job. 

How long does the process take?

The process from receiving your application to closing the contract can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

Can I apply for more than one position?

You can apply for any number of positions, at any time, although we recommend that your qualifications fulfil more than two thirds of the job profiles.

Do you prefer applicants who have already completed a Lindner internship or thesis?

When we employ new talent, professional competence and personality is crucial. This is evidenced through entrepreneurial thinking, flexibility, and social competency. Applicants who already have an internship or thesis under their belt will have already met with Lindner employees and understand the company, which can be an advantage when applying for Lindner jobs. Having said that, we still welcome those who are completely new to our company.

Data Privacy

What happens to my personal information?

All of the information you send us is treated according to the regulations of the German Protection Data Act. Personal information that is transferred through our application system is treated as confidential and solely for application purposes. We save your application digitally for two years. After this time, it is automatically deleted.

If we are able to offer you a suitable position within those two years, we reserve the right to contact you. If you do not agree with this, you can write to us at hr[at]lindner-group.com to ask for your data to be removed from our system.
