Lindner Facades has delivered bespoke unitised curtain walling and bespoke profiled cladding to Principal Tower, a 50-storey luxury residential apartment block located in the London Borough of Hackney.

Part of a larger mixed-use development, Principal Tower has been designed by Foster + Partners and Lindner Facades was appointed by main contractor Multiplex to provide the fully unitised system, including bespoke unitised curtain walling with frameless sliding doors and bespoke profiled architectural cladding with horizontal fins.

Lindner Facades provided a double height ground floor glazed entrance featuring large curved glass panes with bespoke steel framing - curved detailing was provided at the corners and to balustrade areas. The works also included curved balconies, complete with factory-fitted glass and horizontal fins.

All ground floor and penthouse treatments were also included within the scope. The penthouse levels of Principal Tower incorporate double-storey glazing with additional 8m cantilever steel canopies at levels 38 and 44.

This work is part of the wider development of Principal Place - a 600,000 square foot office building, 20,000 square foot of retail space and a 50-storey luxury residential apartment block (Principal Tower).
