Power Plant Niederaussem

Niederaussem power plant is a lignite-fired base load power plant near Cologne. Since its construction in 1963, it has been continuously expanded with new blocks, making it the second most powerful power plant in Germany today. In 2002 the block K was put into operation. Its boiler house is 172 metres high, making it the tallest industrial building in Germany. As part of maintenance work in the boiler house, Lindner was commissioned with the erection of the associated scaffolding. The project was implemented in structural engineering and using state-of-the-art software. With frame scaffolds and modular steel tube scaffolds in the form of working and protective scaffolding as well as suspended and built-up scaffoldings, this major revision required the entire spectrum of scaffolding construction.
