New perspectives in Bodø Town Hall
Together with local partners, Lindner realised the interior fit-out of the Bodø Town Hall – including approx. 10,000 m² acoustically effective wall and ceiling claddings as well as different glass partition systems and room-in-room solutions. The project in Norway was the Lindner Group's northernmost construction project to date.
The old town hall was renovated and rebuilt within two years and expanded with a striking new building with a total area of 6,500 m². The planning came from ALL in Copenhagen. The interior is characterised by the calm, uniform interior fit-out in ash and oak – antagonistically complemented by the unusually designed room geometries. The centre of the new building is the five-story atrium, which is located between the public area, the offices and the transition to the existing buildings. The visual highlight in the atrium is the unusual wall design: an office landscape rotated by 90 degrees was created by furniture vertically attached to the wall cladding.
The open office areas on the different floors are interrupted by glazed room-in-room systems. They partially protrude into the airspace. The glass partitions and doors of the meeting rooms on the ground floor were partially equipped with privacy screens. The parquet work and high-quality radiator cladding are also made by Lindner.
