On 19 and 20 July 2019, the motto in the town hall of Deggendorf was "try things out playfully and do things yourself". At the premiere of the science and adventure festival regioFORSCHA Lower Bavaria, the Lindner Group presented some of its apprenticeships – combined with exciting experimentation activities.

Approximately 7,000 curious people came to Deggendorf to experience the first STEM hands-on fair. On Friday, the number of school classes at the event almost exceeded the capacity of the hall.

The mainly Lower Bavarian exhibitors – associations, companies and institutions – invited to participate at experiments and answered the many questions of the young researchers and their adult companions. Prominent support came from Bavaria’s Science Minister Bernd Sibler, who visited the fair on Saturday and visibly enjoyed actively exploring the various stands and stations.

Lindner presented the diversity of its technical and craft apprenticeships at various experimental stations: among other things with virtual reality glasses, which gave an insight into the training centre of Lindner, and a 3D printer. At the workplace of a technical system planner, visitors were able to find out how an idea would turn into a blueprint. At the workbench of a metalworker, the children and adolescents were allowed to build their own work piece, a small whistle. The LEGO Mindstorm robots for programming and the CAD workstation also met with great interest.

So there was something suitable for every age. The red Lindner Apprentice Mini was parked in the outdoor area of the adventure festival: a MINI Cooper convertible, which the best apprentices of the Lindner Group are allowed to use free of charge as a small recognition for two weeks.

The HR department, the trainers and the apprentices at the Lindner stand had interesting discussions and can look back on a very successful start of the first regioFORSCHA Lower Bavaria.
