Description

Project: Biomass Plants Cramlington and Kent
Description:

The CRAMLINGTON and KENT power plants are newly built renewable energy facilities in the UK. The plants are 100% biomass and wood chip fired and generate 27.7MW of electricity.
The boiler is designed to produce a live steam flow of 25.0 kg/s at 140 bar(g) and 540° C. The furnace consists of 4 parallel working feeders and a water-cooled vibrating grate.
An oil-fired furnace is used for start-up of the boiler and as auxiliary firing.
Lindner carried out insulation work on a surface of 8,500 m²  for each project in the two identical power plants. The insulation included the thermal and sound insulation of the flue gas, hot air and cold air ducts, the boiler as well as all piping and components with wired mats and trapezoidal steel sheets.
