On June 25, 2019, the general assembly of the German Sustainable Building Council - DGNB e.V. - took place. Two new members have been voted into the committee: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anke Karmann-Woessner, Head of the Urban Planning Department of Karlsruhe, and Prof. Josef Steretzeder, Head of Integrated Management Service and Green Building at the Lindner Group.

As a founding member of the DGNB, Lindner places special emphasis on sustainability: both in the choice of location and personnel development as well as in customer service and the development of products. From the beginning of the association, Lindner and in particular the Head of Integrated Management Service and Green Building of Lindner Group, Prof. Josef Steretzeder, were a part of it. For more than 30 years, Mr. Steretzeder has been employed by Lindner, and since 2012 he has been chairman of the Construction Products Advisory Committee of the DGNB. Since 2013 he has also held a professorship at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering at the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences with a focus on Sustainability and Ecological Construction. Now, Mr. Steretzeder and Ms. Karmann-Woessner were elected to the Executive Committee of the DGNB. The committee consists of ten people in total, eight of whom have been confirmed in office. "I am delighted to welcome two extremely competent colleagues in the DGNB Executive Committee, Anke Karmann-Woessner and Josef Steretzeder, for the next two years", says DGNB President Prof. Alexander Rudolphi. During the next meeting of the committee it will be decided who will take over the office of the DGNB President. The evaluation system of the German Sustainable Building Council considers the entire lifecycle of a building from the extraction of raw materials to construction products to the utilisation phase to the recycling capability of the materials after the demolition of the building. Lindner can provide comprehensive support from the planning to the certification, for which, among other things, an in-house DGNB consultant is available. The entire green building management can be taken over by Lindner and significantly reduce cost and time intensive interfaces.
