Description

Project: Blok O, Sparda Bank
Description:

With the BLOK O concept, Sparda Bank Berlin unites a bank branch with a coworking space. In line with the cooperative idea of Sparda Bank, freelancers, creative people and smaller start-ups can work flexibly and benefit from each other in mostly larger, open spaces. With St. Oberholz, a specialist was found for finding the concept and operating the integrated café and co-working areas. The concept was implemented in a traditional commercial building, which was built in the late 1950s in the immediate vicinity of the border crossing in the Polish Słubice. The space of the former electronics market had already been empty for four years, when it was decided to completely dismantle and implement the Blok O concept. On the ground floor of the public building is the café with a so-called hot desking area and separate meeting rooms as well as the bank's self-service zone. A central staircase leads to the upper floor with a lounge area, rentable team rooms, room-in-room systems, a printer area, a tea kitchen and the Sparda employees' office.

The division Lindner SE | General Planning took up the responsibility of a general contractor with this project, being responsible for the entirety of planning and fit-out works. In particular, the responsiblity included the creation of the implementation planning (architecture and building services) as well as all coordination between client, landlord, tenant and specialist planners. In addition, Lindner has researched, selected and commissioned suitable subcontractors for various fit-out work. In the course of the construction process Lindner provided the object monitoring and the construction documentation. The building features glass partitions from the Lindner Group product range with type Lindner Life Pure 620. They create spatial separation while maintaining high transparency throughout the area.
