For 35 year now, Eduardo has been part of the Lindner Group. He began his career at Lindner back in 1989 and has since brought his expertise as a site manager in the Fit-Out North-Northwest division. At the Düsseldorf location, Eduardo is responsible for the complete fit-out of complex projects – including the modern hotel and retail building Joachim-Erwin-Platz 1 (JEP1) in the heart of Düsseldorf city centre.
The JEP1 is is an eight-storey building that makes an architectural statement with its striking glass facade and greened roof. The first two floors house retail spaces for well-known brands such as Douglas and H&M, while the upper levels accommodate the stylish The Cloud One Hotel, featuring 157 rooms and a sky lounge with panoramic views.
The construction period lasted two years – a challenge, especially due to the central location in the pedestrian zone. Eduardo and his team successfully managed all logistical requirements and were responsible for numerous fit-out trades: from drywall, screed and floor coverings to painting and natural stone work, including project-specific bespoke solutions.
A consistent ceiling appearance is ensured by the LMD-E 200 suspended ceiling, while the highly transparent, sound-insulating glass partition wall Lindner Life Stereo 125 gives the interiors a modern, light-filled atmosphere. To meet the demanding acoustic requirements, the specially designed CAVOPEX comfort raised floor system was also used. Another particularly challenging aspect was the development of custom solutions in the field of structural fire protection.
For Eduardo, the excellent collaboration with his colleagues, the site management and the client was a personal highlight of the project. The close coordination and shared pursuit of perfection led to a successful implementation at the highest level.
Today, JEP1 presents itself as a modern and elegant building that combines shopping and hotel experiences in a unique setting. We believe: an impressive achievement by Eduardo and the entire Lindner team!
