Applying at Lindner

When you think about applying for a job, you usually have the following questions: How do I write an application? What should I include in my application file? And how long does the application process take? Don't worry, with our application tips and an insight into our application process, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to apply to Lindner! It is best to allow four to eight weeks from initial information to signed contract – depending on the position. You can find out what steps you will need to take here:

Our Application Process

  • First things first: Get informed! The best way to do this is through our job market. If you can not find the right job here, you can use our unsolicited application form. It does not matter if you want to apply for one or more jobs.
  • Apply online without registration, it is that easy with our online form: Submit all the relevant documents and wait for the confirmation email – and done! Of course, we also accept applications by email or post, but these take longer to process.
  • We usually have our first phone call within a few days: A quick chat to get to know each other, discuss your skills and introduce you to the role.
  • But face-to-face conversations are the best way: After a successful phone call, we forward your application to the relevant department. Then it is time for a personal interview! The interview, which can take place on site or online if required, will clarify any outstanding questions and the general conditions of the position.
  • The final decision is usually made a few days after the interview: If both sides are happy, the contract is drawn up and it is time to say “Welcome to the Lindner family!”

Applying for an Apprenticeship

In principle, our application process is always the same, but there are a few things to bear in mind when applying for one of our apprenticeships or sandwich courses. For example, our apprentices and dual students always start on September 1st or  October 1st each year. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, you should secure your dream apprenticeship or university place well in advance. Send us your application together with your last school report in the year before you expect to graduate. Our apprenticeship and degree vacancies are published on our website one year in advance.

How Do I Write a Job Application?

You have probably asked yourself this question before – whether you are applying for an apprenticeship, an internship or a permanent job. That is why we have put all our application tips and tricks right here!

Our Application Tips

  • What kind of application? It does not matter to us – we welcome any kind of expression of interest! However, the quickest way to apply is to use our online job market rather than the traditional paper form.
  • Keep it short and to the point! Your application should not be a novel, but the letter should summarise your key skills, interests and work experience, and include a few sentences about yourself.
  • Correct spelling is a prerequisite: Being able to write and read correctly is a basic requirement in professional life. Read your CV several times and have it proofread by someone else.
  • What should I include in my CV? This is where you list the stages of your life so far in tabular form. It is important that your CV is truthful and complete.
  • Should I send my application with or without a photo? We believe that a picture says more than a thousand words. We like to get a first "impression" of you. Of course, a photo is not mandatory.
  • The application folder: We do not expect gift wrapping here, but if you are sending your application by post, it should be neatly stapled in a folder and have no stains or dog-ears.
  • Little things are important too – do not forget to sign your cover letter and CV. You should also check the following: Does your name appear on the application? Do you use the same font size and type? Is the date correct?

Which Application Documents Do I Need?

In order for us to consider your application, we need the following documents from you:

  • up-to-date curriculum vitae
  • application photo (not compulsory)
  • certificates (school/study/training)
  • optional: certificates, awards, references, internship and work references

In general, we prefer that you upload your CV and other attachments as separate PDF documents in our application form: However, it is also possible to submit a collective file with all the associated PDFs.
