Building with History
The historic building of the old spinning mill is considered a national cultural monument in Slovakia – thus, the refurbishment involved a number of challenges: The new Pradiaren 1900 was to be equipped with advanced technology and modern design, but at the same time the charm of the old building should be preserved. The large windows and the room height of up to 4.8 metres therefore remained unchanged and now ensure bright and spacious interiors.
Floors for All Requirements
For the renovation of the building, Lindner produced, delivered and installed almost 25.000 m² of different flooring systems: The dry hollow floor FLOOR and more® meets all requirements in terms of fire protection and earthquake resistance and also ensures optimised acoustics and a pleasant climate. The raised floor NORTEC, on the other hand, was equipped with a Lingoplan surface and promises high flexibility and load-bearing capacity as well as excellent sound insulation.
For Us and the Environment
During the refurbishment of the building complex, particular attention was paid to sustainability – therefor the Pradiaren 1900 has received a BREEAM Excellent certification. The Lindner flooring systems also make their contribution to this: the FLOOR and more® cavity floor and the NORTEC raised floor are recyclable and is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Silver. Furthermore, they have been classified as biologically harmless by the Institute for Building Biology in Rosenheim.
