The new Library of Trento University is situated in Trento´s newly developed city quarter Le Albere. This 11 hectare quarter is an ambitious ecological redevelopment of the former tire factory, featuring over 300 residential units, offices, business premises as well as avenues, squares and parks. The Library contains approximately 400.000 books, including collections related to the Departments of Economics and Management, Sociology, Law and Humanities.
Lindner Group supplied heated and chilled hook-on ceilings of type Plafotherm® E 213 for this project. This system is used for climate control through the radiation of heat or cold. Furthermore, a perforation and an acoustic inlay provide sound-absorbing properties. In this way, the ceiling contributes to creating a room atmosphere that is suitable for concentration and learning.
