Embedded in the picturesque landscape of Northern Germany and just a stone's throw away from the North Sea, the holiday home norderdiekhuus in St. Peter-Ording shines in new splendour after a thorough renovation. Since the building was formerly used as a sheepfold, the project posed special challenges in terms of weight restrictions and soundproofing. It was necessary to not overly burden the ancient ceiling while simultaneously ensuring high sound insulation in the holiday apartments.

Lindner GFT played a central role in the renovation with the NORIT-TE 30 Therm GF heating system and impressed with a smooth project process from the first consultation. The heating system, a combination of dry screed and underfloor heating, proved to be ideal for the specific requirements of the historic building. With a construction height of only 33 mm and the ability to integrate the heating pipes into the load-distributing screed layer, it offered an optimal solution for the challenges regarding weight and sound insulation. The simple installation using a click system and the quick drying of the screed compound allowed for a swift completion and accessibility of the rooms.
