Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) provide transparent, standardised, and verified data on the environmental impacts of our products throughout their entire life cycle – from raw material extraction and manufacturing through to disposal. Product EPDs offer a reliable basis for life cycle assessments, tenders, and certifications according to LEED, DGNB, BNB, or BREEAM.
Thanks to continuous updates, our Environmental Product Declarations feed directly into our sustainable product development and site strategy. In this way, we work together with our clients to create environmentally friendly and future-proof construction projects.
Together with the Institute for Construction and Environment (IBU), Lindner has published one of the first verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) based on the new re-use calculation rules – for our refurbished raised access floor panel, LOOP.
The EPD methodology follows the standards for conventional Environmental Product Declarations (in accordance with EN 15804), supplemented by specific re-use calculation rules, and documents the product's life cycle – from selective dismantling and transport to reprocessing at the plant. The result: an impressive CO₂ saving of around 70% compared to the equivalent new product.
Our re-use EPD makes the environmental impacts of a reused product transparently traceable across its entire life cycle – providing a sound basis for decision-making for architects, planners, ESG officers and developers committed to sustainable and circular material strategies.
With the Lindner Self-Declaration 5.1, we provide comprehensive sustainability information at product level – offering transparent data on material composition, carbon footprint, VOC emissions, recycled content, circularity, and other key environmental indicators.
As a practical complement to verified EPDs, it gives planners, architects, and developers valuable guidance and planning security right from the early design phase. By integrating ESG aspects and EU Taxonomy requirements, it also forms a solid basis for green building certifications and sustainable procurement processes.
Products such as FIREwood, the ECO_N® hybrid facade, or the CAS Rooms room-in-room systems demonstrate Lindner’s holistic approach to sustainability – from design and implementation through to dismantling.
Further information and downloads for our Environmental Product Declarations and Self-Declarations are available for each specific interior fit-out product.
