Plank surfaces – natural & durable

With their warm appearance, varied grain patterns and durable material quality, Lindner plank surfaces create a pleasant, natural sense of space. Whether a traditional plank floor (ship deck style) or a modern country-style plank, Lindner offers surface solutions that enhance architectural concepts and deliver sustainable performance.

Material quality and manufacturing

Traditional solid planks are produced in thicknesses between 21 and 40 mm and from 100 mm in width – genuine natural products with an impressive service life. Modern manufacturing also allows for thinner versions from around 15 mm in thickness without compromising stability. This is achieved through precise tongue-and-groove connections, which:

  • distribute point loads across several planks
  • minimise warping
  • ensure a level, harmonious surface appearance

The result is a plank floor that is visually appealing and able to withstand high everyday loads.

Wood species and surfaces – individually configurable

Lindner planks are available in a range of wood species, including spruce, pine, larch, oak, beech and maple. Each species offers its own colour nuances, hardness and grain, allowing perfect coordination with individual interior concepts – from light and modern to warm and traditional.

The choice of surface treatment determines appearance, feel and maintenance requirements:

  • Lacquered planks: Protect the surface, are easy to maintain and ideal for high-traffic areas. A wide variety of designs can be achieved, from matt and satin to gloss finishes.
  • Oiled or waxed planks: Emphasise the natural grain, remain open-pored and create a warm, authentic feel that develops a distinctive patina over time.

Durability, stability and indoor climate

A Lindner plank floor is designed to last for decades. The material quality, precise construction and strength of the top layer allow for several renovation cycles. Wood naturally regulates humidity, contributing to a balanced indoor climate – a clear benefit for residential and working environments.

Thanks to precise manufacturing, the planks remain permanently dimensionally stable. Tongue-and-groove connections prevent warping, distribute loads evenly and ensure a flat, durable surface that retains its aesthetic quality over many years.

Modern multi-layer planks – efficient & sustainable

Many planks are now produced as two- or multi-layer elements, such as country-style or parquet planks. This construction offers several advantages:

  • Minimal waste thanks to finger-joint connections and endless joining of layers
  • Optimal combination of pre-dried layers for load-bearing capacity, dimensional stability and appearance
  • High-quality, defect-free wear layer with harmonious grain; underlying layers make resource-efficient use of reclaimed timber
  • Wear layer from 8 mm allows multiple sanding cycles and long-term use
