Some architectural visions cannot be realised using standard systems. Free-form surfaces, transparent all-glass constructions, large-span membrane or cable structures, and slender space frames – these special solutions require more than experience: they require development expertise, testing capabilities and engineering knowledge that goes beyond standard solutions.
With Lindner Steel & Glass, Lindner Group combines its expertise in bespoke steel and glass constructions for roofs and facades – from the initial feasibility assessment through to on-site installation.
Three-dimensional, often doubly curved roof and facade geometries made from steel, aluminium and glass – for airports, stadiums, hotels and prestigious entrance areas.

Maximum transparency through safety glass, laminated glass and structural glazing systems – for light-filled atriums, glass roofs and facades.

Lightweight, large-span roof and facade solutions made from tensioned PVC, PTFE or ETFE membranes – for stadiums, arenas and event spaces.

Slender, high-strength cable structures made from stainless steel – for transparent cable-net facades and column-minimised roofing structures.

Prefabricated, three-dimensional structural systems made from steel members and nodes – for large spans in roofs, atriums and glass facades.

Special constructions are not developed on the drawing board alone. Our in-house engineering team plans, calculates and tests new construction principles before they are used in a project. Our own development and testing capabilities enable us to assess materials and load-bearing structures under realistic loads and determine their limits precisely.
Structural engineering, building physics, acoustics and fire protection are incorporated into the development process alongside specific safety requirements such as bombblast or hurricane protection. This creates technical reliability long before the first component is manufactured.
Free-form surfaces and space frames are based on geometries that often continue to change throughout the planning process. With parametric planning, we work with variables rather than fixed dimensions: when a parameter changes, the entire model automatically adapts – a decisive advantage for complex special constructions with numerous dependencies.
Our principle also applies to special solutions: everything from a single source. We plan, manufacture, install and maintain – regardless of project size and irrespective of which system provider is ultimately used. Our global supply chain and digital process management ensure that even exceptional constructions are delivered reliably on schedule and within budget.
