"Flush-mounted" means that both glass panes are seamlessly aligned with the wall surface. Our Planum glazing systems allow for the creation of visually high-quality, flush surfaces.

Yes, both Planum glazing variants can be used in wet room environments. However, we recommend Planum Type 1, as it can be sealed flush with the base wall, ensuring a watertight finish. This minimizes the risk of water ingress.

Both variants have been successfully tested and certified for 30 minutes of fire resistance. Additionally, our Planum glazing systems can also be used in applications requiring F90 fire resistance.

The difference lies in the way the glass panes are mounted. In Planum Type 1, both panes are bonded directly onto the aluminium glazing frame. In contrast, with Planum Type 2, the glass panes are framed within the glazing profile.

A structural opening must be created in the drywall, statically dimensioned according to the glazing size. The Planum mounting profiles are attached to the wall connection profiles. The glazing frames are then fixed using special mounting brackets. If sound insulation is required, all joints between components must be sealed with silicone.
