Lindner specialises in bespoke unitised facades for complex large-scale projects. Whether transparent or opaque, straight, curved or inclined – we develop facade solutions that combine architectural design with technical and functional requirements. Professional planning, extensive calculations and project-specific testing provide the basis for safe, high-quality implementation.
In addition to its own facade systems, Lindner also offers solutions from selected partners and system suppliers. Its own portfolio includes Lindner CW85, Lindner ECO® and Lindner ECO_N®.
Lindner unitised facades consist of factory-prefabricated facade elements that are at least storey-high. Frames, glazing, sealing systems and connection elements are assembled at the factory into largely complete units. The elements are then installed directly onto the building, forming the external enclosure of the respective storeys.
Weather-independent prefabrication in the factory enables controlled production conditions and consistently high execution quality. At the same time, the high degree of prefabrication reduces the amount of work required on site and enables fast installation – even for bespoke and large-scale facades. Depending on the project requirements, Lindner delivers single-skin and double-skin unitised facades as well as hybrid facades.
Single-skin unitised facades represent the classic configuration. All key functions of the building envelope are fulfilled within a single facade plane. Glazing and opaque areas can be integrated alongside opening elements, doors, sliding elements, solar shading and other design features.
By combining different components, individual facade solutions can be created and tailored to the architectural and functional requirements of the building. Opening elements can be implemented using both system solutions and project-specific proprietary or bespoke developments.
Double-skin facades consist of a thermal primary envelope and a second facade layer positioned in front of it. Depending on the design, elements such as impact-resistant glazing, maintenance walkways or other functional components can be integrated.
The double-skin construction can be particularly suitable where there are increased requirements for acoustic and thermal performance, as well as for the use and design of the building envelope. The appropriate facade solution depends on the specific building physics, energy and architectural requirements of the project. Lindner provides support with selection and technical design from the early planning stages.
Hybrid facades combine different construction principles within a single building envelope. For example, aluminium and timber can be specifically combined as structural materials, or single-skin and double-skin facade areas can be incorporated within the same project.
With Lindner ECO_N®, Lindner offers a hybrid unitised facade made from timber and aluminium. The timber module provides a structural function, while aluminium is specifically used in areas exposed to moisture. The consistent external appearance also enables it to be combined with the Lindner ECO® aluminium facade.
Lindner supports projects from the early planning stages and provides planning services from LPH 1 to 5, including structural engineering and building physics. Project-specific performance testing can be carried out on original components at Lindner's own test facility and in qualified laboratories – for example, tests relating to airtightness and watertightness, fire protection, load-bearing capacity or seismic resistance.
Individual requirements can also be assessed for technical feasibility in cooperation with the in-house research and development department and developed into project-specific solutions. This enables opening elements, solar shading, glare protection, lighting and other technical components to be specifically integrated into the facade construction.
Factory prefabrication reduces the number of work steps required on site and enables fast, coordinated installation. A project-specific installation concept ensures that the facade elements can be positioned on the building efficiently and safely.
Following installation, Lindner also provides its own service personnel for maintenance and other services. Regular maintenance helps to ensure the long-term performance and value retention of the building envelope.
