Leather floor coverings – warm, exclusive and sustainable

Leather fibre material offers a natural, warm appearance and, thanks to its characteristic structure, creates a refined sense of space. Lindner processes recycled genuine leather offcuts into a uniformly dense surface that is both visually appealing and meets high functional requirements. The material feels pleasantly warm underfoot, provides sound and thermal insulation, and is therefore ideal for sophisticated interior designs.

For projects requiring a particularly precise technical construction, Lindner offers the LEATHERline system floor covering. The top layer made of leather fibre material is certified to the LEATHER STANDARD by OEKO-TEX®, available in a wide range of colours and embossings, and can be factory-applied to Lindner raised access floor panels.

Material production – precision from natural resources

The leather fibre material used for Lindner floor coverings is produced in a resource-efficient process. During the processing of genuine leather, high-quality leather residues are generated – for example through splitting, sanding or cutting. These are not discarded but reused. Once shredded and combined with natural rubber, vegetable tanning agents, natural fats and water, a dense, hard-wearing material is created that closely resembles genuine leather in both appearance and feel.

This manufacturing method offers several advantages:

  • high and reproducible material homogeneity
  • natural-looking appearance and texture
  • improved CO₂ balance through reuse
  • balanced performance in design, comfort and sustainability

A special surface finish makes the coverings easy to maintain and durable. The abrasion- and scuff-resistant surface is suitable for residential areas as well as high-end commercial spaces.

Sustainability – high-quality use of resources without compromising quality

Lindner leather surface coverings are based on the reuse of genuine leather offcuts and consist of over 90 % natural raw materials. The use of sustainable binders and resource-efficient processing results in a covering with an excellent environmental footprint, without compromising on appearance or functionality.

In addition to its sustainable material base, the system impresses with its long service life, the possibility of reuse, and consistent material quality across different production batches.

Comfort and function – for a pleasant indoor climate and strong performance

Leather surface coverings are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functionally impressive. They feel warm underfoot, provide natural thermal insulation and reduce impact sound – a clear advantage for office environments, hotel areas and private living spaces. The robust nature of the material ensures durability, while its low weight and modular construction allow for easy handling.

Design variety – colours, embossings and surface finishes

Lindner leather floor coverings offer a wide range of design possibilities. Different colour schemes and embossings create individual visual effects, from subtly elegant to boldly textured. The natural depth of the material ensures that even large areas appear warm, harmonious and of high quality.

The choice of surface finish influences both the visual effect and maintenance requirements. All finishes are robust, easy to care for and ideal for high-traffic areas.

This allows leather coverings to be precisely matched to architectural concepts, creating both homely and representative interior environments.
