The Lindner Group is setting new benchmarks in digital construction practice with its IPA project “3 Schools Bremerhaven”. In recognition of this achievement, the company – together with DT Bau Consulting GmbH – has recently been honoured with the BIM Award Bavaria 2025 in the category “Digital Cooperation & Data Management”.
Driving Digital Transformation in Construction
The ongoing digital transformation is increasingly shaping the construction sector and calls for more efficient, future-proof planning and building processes. Building Information Modelling (BIM) is widely regarded as a key technology in enabling this shift and establishing it as a long-term industry standard. Against this backdrop, BIM Cluster Bavaria, under the patronage of the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Construction and Transport, presented the BIM Award Bavaria for the third time on 26 November 2025 as part of BIM World Munich. The award recognises projects that advance innovative digital solutions through BIM and significantly enhance collaboration, efficiency and data quality throughout a building’s entire lifecycle.
Award for Outstanding Digital Collaboration
This year, the Lindner Group, alongside DT Bau Consulting GmbH, won in the category “Digital Cooperation & Data Management” with the IPA project “Allianz 3 Schools Bremerhaven”. The project impressed with its exemplary digital collaboration, structured data management and the consistent application of BIM methodology within a complex multi-party environment.
As an Integrated Project Alliance (IPA), the scheme brings together eight alliance partners and is the first public-sector building project of its kind in Germany. Its collaborative approach is driven in part by joint lean management and the planning tool Metronom, developed by Lindner and tibe.io. This enables precise schedule control and strengthens communication among all project partners during the construction of the three cluster schools. The jury particularly highlighted the project’s transparent communication, clearly organised data structures and high level of interoperability – features that set new standards for digital construction processes.
Prize money awarded to the three schools in Bremerhaven and the Hans Lindner Foundation
The Lindner Group is donating the prize money to the three schools in Geestemünde and Lehe, as well as to the Hans Lindner Foundation. The foundation supports regional initiatives such as local food banks and start-ups, as well as international projects in Kampala (Uganda) and Satu Mare (Romania). There, it provides support for children and young people, offers access to education and assists them in their everyday lives.
