Under the motto Future of Construction: Circular. Collaborative. Digital., the Lindner Group showcased a wide range of sustainable product and process optimisations for interior fit-out and building envelopes, as well as digital solutions for more efficient construction site management at BAU25 in Munich.

The strong environmental performance of Lindner’s fit-out products was recognised with several awards at BAU:

  • The Institut für Bauen und Umwelt (IBU e.V.) presented Lindner with two EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations): the first ReUse EPD for LOOP raised floor systems made from reprocessed calcium sulphate, as well as an EPD re-verification for LIGNA, made from engineered wood panels. Ralph Peckmann, Business Unit Manager Floors, commented: “The first EPD for our ReUse LOOP floor panel not only confirms the outstanding environmental properties of our LOOP system but also highlights our commitment as a pioneer of circular economy principles in the construction industry.”
  • The NORIT-TE 20 Therm underfloor heating system, made from gypsum fibre, was also certified for pollutant-free construction with the SHI product passport, awarded by the Sentinel Holding Institute.
  • Special recognition was given to the Lindner Life Stereo_GCC glass partition wall, whose profiles consist of 75 % natural fibres and 25 % high-performance polymers from recycled plastics. The innovative use of materials, the modular and demountable construction, and the elegant design of the system were honoured with the AIT Innovation Award for Architecture + Building Technology. Commenting on the product development, Oliver Wieselhuber, Business Unit Manager Partitions, said: “For us, it is not just about material circularity but also market availability, building physics properties, material health, and the economic viability of our products. This requires partnerships between material manufacturers, product manufacturers, and processors. Equally important is the willingness of clients, architects, and planners to embrace new developments and product proposals in order to bring circular construction into real-world practice.”

Architects, planners, and developers were given in-depth insights into the Lindner Group’s extensive range of in-house products, fit-out services, and solutions during various guided tours, including those organised by the DGNB. A central theme was Lindner’s mission to “bring circular construction into practice today.”

To achieve this, Lindner has not only developed its own rental and take-back business models but also supports the planning phase, for example, through tenant fit-out with its Design & Build concept. Comprehensive information and expert advice on these topics were also available at the Lindner Group’s exhibition stand.
