BitHeat

BitHeat Model One is a modular edge cloud system that integrates seamlessly into the building services of both new builds and existing properties. It is primarily powered by locally generated energy, with the resulting waste heat reused on site for building-related and additional processes. Thanks to intelligent control, data is processed exactly where it is most effective: directly within the building, without the need for external data centres.

Developed as part of the Lindner project BiGreen and within the European 8ra initiative, BitHeat pursues a clear objective: to establish a sovereign, decentralised cloud infrastructure in Europe – independent of non-European providers and meeting the highest standards of data protection and IT security. Sensitive data remains on site.

Infrastructure You Own

Data You Control

BitHeat brings computing and storage capacity directly into the building, creating the foundation for a true cloud-edge continuum. By distributing modules geographically, decentralised capacities are established across Europe: energy and operational data are captured locally and stored on site. Maintenance can be planned proactively, downtime reduced and operating costs lowered. At the same time, local data processing strengthens control over data flows and reduces dependence on external infrastructures.
