The AIDAnova is the first ship of Carnival Corporation & plc’s innovative Helios Class and, at 337 meters long, the largest AIDA cruise ship ever built. It accommodates around 6,600 passengers and approximately 1,500 crew members, setting new standards in sustainability, comfort, and modern ship design.
For the interior fit-out of nine restaurants and bars, the construction contract was awarded to Meyer Werft in Papenburg, which commissioned the experienced specialists from Lindner SE. Lindner handled the entire project process, from planning and project management to installation, ensuring a high-quality result that meets both aesthetic and functional requirements.
All materials were prefabricated with a high degree of precision in Lindner’s in-house production facilities. Wall and ceiling cladding primarily used Lindner COMP+ lightweight panels and IMO-certified Lindner plaster systems.
Some of these lightweight panels were enhanced with digital printing and realized as COMPprint panels, demonstrating their versatile design applications across various areas of the ship.
The AIDAnova project highlights Lindner SE’s expertise in maritime interior construction, where design, functionality, and maritime safety standards are seamlessly combined. The interior fit-out of the Helios Class cruise ship underscores Lindner SE’s leading role in specialized ship interior architecture.
