As part of a current tenant fit-out at Fleet Office II in Hamburg, the Lindner Group is making a strong statement for sustainable construction: acoustic wall absorbers, originally installed in 2017, are being visually refurbished and integrated into the new usage concept.
The high-quality, fabric-covered metal absorbers, as well as acoustically effective wall panels, were part of a previous tenant fit-out with a well-thought-out room acoustics concept – and are now being resource-consciously reused and visually refurbished according to the client’s wishes for the new tenant.
To achieve this, approximately 65 wall absorbers will be dismantled during the refurbishment, reupholstered on-site by a specialist saddler with new covering fabric, and reinstalled by the Lindner installation team.
In addition to the absorbers glass partition systems are also set to be reused. Thanks to their modular design, the elements can be flexibly integrated into the new room layouts without any loss of quality.
This project demonstrates how circular principles can be applied in interior construction: through targeted dismantling, reuse, and adaptation of existing systems, not only are resources saved, but the project’s carbon footprint is also improved.
