For nine years now, Willi has been an integral part of the Lindner Group and today plays a key role in shaping our lighting solutions as an experienced sales consultant. His professional base is primarily in Arnstorf, supplemented by a weekly presence at the Lindner luminaire manufacturing facility in Mettenbach, as well as regular on-site visits to customers. In his role, he oversees all sales channels, working closely with architects, electrical planners, engineering consultancies, wholesalers and electricians. From product presentation and technical consultation through to final delivery, he supports each project step by step – always driven by a strong passion for lighting technology and an exceptional feel for bespoke solutions.
One of the projects Willi supported as sales consultant is located in the heart of Munich, just a few steps from Karlsplatz (Stachus) and the city’s main railway station: the House of Bavarian Business. Today, the building ranks among the most important conference venues for national and international events. Formerly, it was home to a traditional hotel, which once even hosted Empress Elisabeth of Austria – better known as “Sisi”.
Today, the House of Bavian Business presents itself as a state-of-the-art conference centre with thirteen versatile event spaces, LED walls, a panoramic screen, studios for TV productions, greenscreen recordings and podcasts, as well as an exclusive conference area offering panoramic views over Munich’s rooftops. This makes it ideal for annual general meetings, press conferences, workshops, hybrid events and prestigious functions.
The journey from the initial concept to the final order was an intensive one – almost a full year passed from first contact to final confirmation. At the heart of the project was a bespoke downlight, developed specifically to meet the design brief of the planning consultancy and produced initially as a sample. Step by step, the requirements were further refined, re-sampled and implemented with technical precision – always in close coordination between all parties involved. Willi particularly recalls the constructive nature of the collaboration: “Adapting the sample several times was demanding, but in the end it was worth every effort. The result matches the customer’s expectations one hundred per cent.”
A personal highlight for Willi was the building’s impressive staircase: “The architecture there is quite extraordinary. It made the entire project even more exciting.”
The building’s unique blend of historical character and modern design is also reflected in the lighting solutions developed for the conference centre: tailor-made precision luminaires that harmoniously combine functionality and aesthetics, setting the perfect scene for every event. Today, the House of Bavarian Business is a vibrant venue for events of all kinds – flexible, technically superbly equipped, centrally located and shaped by an impressive history.
We believe this represents an outstanding achievement by Willi and the entire Lindner team, whose expertise, perseverance and creativity made a decisive contribution to the success of this project.
