Michael has been part of the Lindner Group for 14 years. After completing his training as a foreign language industrial clerk, he initially worked in marketing. In 2020, he moved into project management and today successfully oversees construction projects at the Swiss branch as part of the Western Switzerland team, with a focus on projects in the French-speaking regions of Switzerland – including the “Philo” science and technology centre at the Institut Le Rosey in Rolle. The building is based on a design by Bernard Tschumi, with architectural execution carried out by Fehlmann Architectes.

In January 2025, Lindner was awarded the corresponding contract, after which the project team led by Michael and site manager Vitor began work. Vitor himself has been part of the Lindner team since 2013 and gained extensive on-site experience before taking on his role as site manager at Lindner M+S.

Originally, Lindner’s scope included glass partition walls, which were shortly afterwards expanded to include solid walls with metal wall systems. Compared with the originally planned plasterboard walls, these offer the advantage of being easily repositioned. Our concept impressed with its flexibility, time-efficient installation and integrated technical solutions.

The classrooms were fitted with Lindner Logic 100 Metal partition systems, which also serve as writing boards and projection surfaces. Facing the corridor, Lindner Life Contour 126 glass partitions with timber doors were installed, meeting the highest acoustic insulation requirements. A particular challenge was achieving EI30 fire protection in the chemistry laboratories on the third floor, including single- and double-leaf timber doors.

The goal was to bring the building back into operation in time for the start of the new school year after the summer holidays in 2025. This presented a considerable challenge, as only a limited amount of time was available to plan the required works and produce the necessary quantities of materials. Nevertheless, the services had to be delivered on schedule and to the highest quality standards. The circular form of the building required innovatively angled glass partition constructions. The Lindner team mastered this technological challenge with great success. Thanks to the collaboration with GIB mbH, the SitePrint process was also used to print precise wall axes and information directly onto the screed floor, significantly facilitating the installation process.

Today, the “Philo” building at Institut Le Rosey presents itself as a modern new facility with five levels, flexible classrooms, state-of-the-art laboratories and spaces for spontaneous group work. This impressive achievement reflects the strength and dedication of the entire Lindner team.
