Revitalisation of the Hallenser Straße Primary School Centre, Cottbus

Cottbus is growing – particularly in the historic centre and inner-city areas, more people are choosing to live in the city once again. This development is accompanied by an increasing demand for contemporary education and childcare facilities. In response, the city launched the revitalisation of the primary school on Hallenser Straße in the summer of 2021.

The project resulted in a two-form-entry primary school with an integrated after-school care facility, offering space for 288 pupils from the 2025/2026 academic year onwards. The after-school care programme is designed for 190 children and supports the compatibility of family life and work. A one-and-a-half-court sports hall as well as modern, fully accessible outdoor sports facilities complete the new primary school centre, creating a wide range of opportunities for learning, play and physical activity.

High-Performance Interior Fit-Out for Modern Learning Environments

The Lindner Group was commissioned with extensive interior fit-out and acoustic works. The objective was to create a contemporary, learning-supportive environment for pupils, teachers and childcare staff alike.

The completed acoustic construction work ensures balanced room acoustics in the classrooms, corridors, and common areas.

A further focus was placed on the use of Troldtekt® acoustic systems. The acoustic panels are suitable for both ceiling and wall applications and combine sound-absorbing performance with a clear, understated design. As a result, they make a noticeable contribution to reducing noise levels and support concentrated learning in everyday school life.

As part of the revitalisation of the existing building, the Lindner Group contributed its extensive expertise in refurbishment projects. The measures implemented make a significant contribution to the functional and structural enhancement of the educational facility.
