At Copenhagen Airport (CPH), Lindner Group played a key role in two successive interior fit-out projects, demonstrating its expertise as a trusted partner for demanding retail projects in airport environments.

Refurbishment 2012–2013: A Bold New Look for the Heinemann Shop

As part of a comprehensive refurbishment of the Heinemann Duty Free Shop at Copenhagen Airport, Lindner carried out major interior fit-out works between 2012 and 2013. The defining design feature of this phase is the striking timber batten ceiling, which lends the shop a warm, distinctive spatial character — and has shaped its appearance ever since.

Modernisation 2018: New Design for Floors, Ceilings and Walls

In 2018, the duty free shop's interior was refreshed once again. Lindner was responsible for key elements of the construction works, drawing on premium materials and proven interior fit-out systems throughout.
The project began with the systematic removal of existing floor coverings, drylining walls and metal ceilings, clearing the space entirely and creating a clean substrate for all subsequent trades. Lindner then installed premium hardwood parquet flooring in oak, jatoba and wenge, complemented by stone tiles — materials that combine outstanding aesthetics, durability and sustainability, reinforcing the premium feel of the retail environment.
For the redesign of the ceiling surfaces, Lindner constructed drylining ceilings incorporating powder-coated and perforated cassette ceilings from the Lindner product portfolio in a range of colours. The standout design element is a high-gloss stainless steel ceiling of the TOUCHdesign Lunar type, seamlessly integrated into the existing timber batten ceiling. The refined interplay of warm natural wood and cool stainless steel gives the shop an exclusive, contemporary ambience.
Newly constructed drylining walls were precisely colour-coordinated with the overarching design concept, creating — together with all other fit-out trades — a cohesive, high-quality spatial atmosphere that powerfully reinforces the Heinemann brand identity.
