The construction of the new Landshut District Office is creating a forward-looking administrative building that will offer ideal working conditions for around 600 employees across almost 40 departments. Its compact structure and interconnected layout bring all areas of use together under one roof, enabling short distances and efficient collaboration.
Designed by the architectural firm dasch zürn + partner, the building impresses with its successful combination of timber and concrete construction. This choice of materials reflects sustainability, durability and a pleasant indoor climate.
Inside, the high standards of quality and design are particularly evident in the new council chamber. Here, Lindner, with its Interior Fit-out and Furnishings as well as its Floor systems division, played a key role in the interior fit-out. The work included all joinery services – from wall and ceiling claddings, the impressive entrance door with brass fittings and floor coverings to bespoke tables and chairs. The result is a representative space that convinces with clean lines, refined materials and well-considered functionality.
The design focuses on light-coloured timber contrasted with dark leather seating and tabletop surfaces with flush inlays of dark linoleum. This combination creates a warm yet elegant atmosphere befitting a modern administrative centre. Timber slats on the walls ensure pleasant acoustics and a harmonious overall appearance.
The hollow floor CAVOPEX comfort with its high-quality carpet covering not only provides comfortable walking surfaces but also offers maximum flexibility thanks to integrated installation openings and rail systems. Swivel chairs can be moved with ease. The tables are equipped with integrated microphones and sockets to discreetly incorporate modern technology into the design.
The ceiling cladding also blends harmoniously into the overall concept. Light-coloured timber, suspended LED luminaires and discreetly integrated cameras create a modern, functional environment. Perforated ceiling panels along the sides of the room are specifically designed to improve acoustics – a crucial factor for its use as a council chamber.
The concept is complemented by adjustable timber louvres in front of the windows, providing variable sun and glare protection while also contributing to the sustainable energy concept.
