Lindner Group is consistently expanding its MUTE+® acoustic programme and demonstrating with three new products just how versatile sound absorption can be today.
MUTE+® cover A1: Now also certified to American standards
With MUTE+® cover A1, Lindner offers the first textile sound absorber to achieve the highest A1 fire classification to DIN EN 13501-1 – the strictest European classification for noncombustible building materials. This is made possible by the use of glass tissue, which is also WHO fibre-free and thus meets the highest health standards.
Now added is successful testing to the American standard ASTM E 84 class A. This means MUTE+® cover A1 holds dual certification to both European and American standards, meeting the fire protection requirements for safety-critical areas in both markets equally.
Despite this uncompromising safety, the absorber does not sacrifice acoustic comfort: it effectively reduces reverberation, improves speech intelligibility and thus ensures a pleasant indoor environment even in safety-relevant settings.
MUTE+® glowline: Acoustics meets light
With MUTE+® glowline, Lindner is combining sound absorption and LED lighting in a one-piece acoustic baffle for the first time. A patented precision cutting technique integrates the LED light line almost invisibly into the 40 mm-thick PET acoustic material – creating a monolithic, gap-free solution that clearly stands apart from conventional multi-part systems and distinguishes itself from classic baffle solutions.
An innovative magnetic technology enables precise positioning and significantly reduces installation effort. Intelligent heat management with ventilated luminaires and integrated heat dissipation channels ensures the longevity of the LED components. With a recycled content of up to 20 per cent, MUTE+® glowline also combines sustainable material choice with high-quality, long-lasting quality – and thanks to slender proportions and clean lines, it creates a contemporary aesthetic for forward-looking spatial concepts that unite comfort, design and environmental awareness.
Design-Cuts: Individual design for MUTE+® board
With three new cutting techniques, Lindner turns the MUTE+® board absorber into a design statement.
V-Cuts offer 22 combinable cut patterns, 11 standard colours and thicknesses of 24/40 mm, which can be combined with two-tone material to create a striking 3D appearance. Custom-Cuts enable freely selectable and positionable motif cut-outs – whether logo, lettering or free-form motif – optionally transparent or with a dark background. morph creates a vivid depth effect and a unique spatial effect with an organic, wave-shaped perforated pattern, whilst maintaining high-quality sound absorption.
All three variants are available in large-format standard sizes – V-Cuts and Custom-Cuts in single pieces up to 3,000 × 2,000 mm, morph in formats H = 1,000–2,500 mm and W = 625 mm – and can be combined seamlessly with other MUTE+® board variants and surfaces.
