The AIDAmar is part of AIDA Cruises’ modified Sphinx class, representing state-of-the-art ship technology and superior passenger comfort. Between 2010 and 2013, four vessels of this class were built, including the AIDAsol and AIDAstella.
For the interior ship fit-out of the AIDAmar, MEYER WERFT relied on the expertise and reliability of the Lindner Group. Lindner was responsible for the complete interior construction of the Market Restaurant on Deck 9 as well as the AIDA Bar and Lounge on Deck 10, delivering all services from a single source.
The scope of work included wall and ceiling claddings in various designs, high-quality floor coverings, column and lightweight claddings, built-in and custom-made furniture, upholstered furniture, B15 fire-rated doors, and inspection hatches. In the bar areas, Lindner installed different ceiling systems, such as plaster, lightweight, and metal ceilings, while the restaurant area featured metal ceilings, tiled wall finishes, and plastered surfaces. Many components were designed as custom-made solutions and manufactured in Lindner’s own production facilities.
A key element of the project was the use of Lindner COMPlacq aluminum lightweight panels, a material perfectly suited for shipbuilding due to its low weight, high stability, and corrosion resistance. Individually manufactured furniture and construction elements ensured a perfect fit and a refined aesthetic.
The interior outfitting of the AIDAmar showcases Lindner’s extensive expertise in cruise ship interiors. The result is a combination of premium materials, precise craftsmanship, and durable functionality, creating inviting spaces that meet the highest standards of comfort and design at sea.
